Position Overview: 
To work as an employee of a State Farm independent contractor agent selling/marketing insurance and financial products and assisting other team members achieve and exceed sales goals while providing professional quality service to State Farm customers.
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Obtain/maintain licenses to market State Farm products.
  • Solicit prospects and current policyholders to generate interest in State Farm products.
  • Product presentations to potential and existing clients.
  • Proven ability to meet individual and office’s monthly production goals on a consistent basis and ultimately serving as the pulse of the sales team.
  • Accurately prepare forms and applications. Make sure applications are issued and remain active.
  • Provide prompt professional, accurate, friendly, cost-effective service and utilize it as a basis for establishing marketing opportunities.
  • Assist Agent by creating and executing sales strategies and sales solutions. 
  • Responsible for the Sales and Marketing Department.
  • Responsible for new hire training, sales training and motivating other sales representatives to achieve and exceed sales goals.
  • Responsible for participating in and leading team meetings and individual meetings.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on all lines and products that State Farm has to offer.
  • Provide product knowledge training and coaching to other team members on State Farm’s products and services.
  • Displaying proficiency in conducting “Your World” conversations with new and existing customers and ultimately responsible for the execution of this strategy for the office.
  • Displaying proficiency in conducting the “Auto-Multiline” conversation with new customers and ensuring that all other team members do the same.
  • Responsible for holding and participating in “role-plays” on a consistent basis with the other team members to practice sales and overcoming objection techniques.
  • Responsible for attending all training sessions and disseminating best practices to the rest of the team on a consistent basis.
  • Assist Agent in tracking sales, communicating status of sales goals and holding sales representatives accountable for their individual production.
  • Responsible for ensuring other sales representatives, as well as themselves, are correctly following all sales processes, underwriting processes, compliance and service processes that the office has in place.
  • Review applications and checklists to ensure accuracy and issuance.
  • Ability to lead by example concerning State Farm compliance expectations and serving as another layer of compliance enforcement.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert concerning all State Farm’s systems and programs including ECRM and ensuring that other sales representatives, as well as themselves, are properly using these systems.
  • Responsible for visiting “Centers of Influence” areas on a consistent basis.
  • Assist the Agent in retention processes and retention programs.
  • Assist the Agent in meeting with clients concerning escalations or escalated customer service issues.
  • Serve as another layer of administration and authority concerning the everyday operations of the office.
  • Attend and participate in trainings and other team meetings as requested.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the agent.
  • Position may require irregular hours on a frequent basis, may require travel to other State Farm
    locations as well as to clients’ homes or businesses.
Compensation: $45-75k annually
